What's up, Doc?

So...the roommates of the Boarding House planted a garden this summer.  The thing we didn't realize was that we planted WAY too many carrot seeds WAY too close together.  As they came up, we chuckled at the row of carrot greens, but didn't do much besides thin them out at random times when we were bored (we're very ambitious, you see).  Today, we decided to pull them up...this is what we found:

We then decided it would be a smart choice to clean them up and cut them up before they went bad on the kitchen counter.

C took the task of cleaning and peeling, while N took the task of cutting them up.  As we were cutting, our conversation went a little like this:

C:  I think you got the easy job.

N: What do you mean?

C: Well, you just have to cut them up.  I have to sort them all out, clean them and then peel them.

N: Yeah...it is sort of easy.  Except for the fact that the carrots just keep coming and I can't get ahead of you in cutting them.  They just keep coming and it stresses me out!  Oh my goodness....Cutting carrots is a metaphor of my life!  I got school, I got work, and it's all coming at me!

...and then we laughed and went silent for a bit at the reality of it all.

In the end, all our hardwork led to this:

Now to store the carrots for the winter...

Mother-Daughter Love

D (aka the mother): But you invited me over to hang out with you!

N: Yes, to sit and chill.  Not to straddle me!

These are regular conversations between those two.  See the picture below for proof of the
nearly weekly occurrence...

High School Addict

L (after a trip to CVS in Kankakee at 9:30 at night): Guys...I think I have to stop doing this.

C: Stop doing what?

L: I think I have an addiction.  I thought about going to the store all day.  I have planned my whole day around when and how I was going to get to the store to buy ShaqFu Punch.  It's not even that good.  I don't even like it that much, I just have a point to prove.  I have to make it a movement.  But I'm worried I'm an addict.  I don't think I can do this anymore.

ShaqFu punch...addicting grapey-ness since October 2015.  You heard it here first.
